Volume of prisms

The shaded cross-section is one layer of cubes and there is a layer for every centimetre of length, so the volume is the area of the cross-section times the length. Cuboids first, then prisms with the area given, with a frame to fill in on every question.

A free key stage 3 and GCSE support geometry and measures lesson on volume of prisms, spec code G16. It has a lesson deck to teach from with a visualiser, a worksheet with answers, an exit ticket and an end of unit test.
