Who we are

The Maths Habit Resources is run by Karra Hartland, trading as The Maths Habit. We are the controller of the information described here. You can reach us through the contact page.

The Friday email

When you sign up, we keep your email address, the date you signed up and which page you signed up on.

We use your email address only to send you the Friday email, with what is new on the site that week. We send it because you asked for it, and you can withdraw that at any time.

We keep your address while you are signed up. When you unsubscribe we stop sending, and keep only a note that you unsubscribed so that you are not emailed again. Ask us and we will delete that too.

To stop the emails, or to have your details deleted, reply to any of the emails or use the contact page.

Messages

If you send a message through the contact page, we keep your name, your school and email if you give them, and what you write, so that we can read it and reply. We delete messages once they have been dealt with, and within two years at the latest.

Using the site

The site counts page views, downloads and clicks on links to other sites, so that we know which resources are useful. The counts record the page, not who you are: they hold no names, no email addresses and no IP addresses, and no cookies are used.

If you arrive from a link with a tag on it, such as one shared with your school, the tag is kept in your browser until you close the tab so that those visits can be counted together.

Because the site sets no cookies and tracks no one, there is no cookie banner.

Who else handles it

Your information is never sold. It is held for us by the services the site runs on:

Some of these services may hold information outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to stop us using it. Use the contact page and we will reply within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
