Solving two-step equations
A balance with x tiles on every question, and one frame: get the x's on their own, then find one x, each step done to both sides. Adding and taking away with whole number answers, then the balance turned round, the unknown on the right and simple contexts.
A free key stage 3 and GCSE support algebra lesson on solving two-step equations, spec code A17. It has a lesson deck to teach from with a visualiser, a worksheet with answers and an exit ticket.
