Graph transformations:Translations

Four large grids to a page. y = f(x) + a moves the graph up or down; y = f(x + a) moves it left or right, the opposite way to the sign; then the two reflections. Students sketch the new graph and track one point.

A free GCSE Higher algebra lesson on graph transformations: translations, spec code A13. It has a lesson deck to teach from with a visualiser, a worksheet with answers, a puzzle, an exit ticket and an end of unit test.
