Exact trigonometric values
The two special triangles, found first by Pythagoras: half an equilateral triangle with sides of 2 gives root 3, half a square with sides of 1 gives root 2. Students read each ratio off the triangle, then use an exact value to find a side without a calculator.
A free GCSE Foundation and Higher geometry and measures lesson on exact trigonometric values, spec code G21. It has a lesson deck to teach from with a visualiser, a worksheet with answers, a puzzle, an exit ticket, end of unit tests and a method video.
